Description
The championship golf course at the Tuegega was designed by Donald Ross, and it more or less maintained the elements of his original design ever since – not a small achievement, considering the fact the course was established in 1920. It is believed that Ross had a special place in his heart for this source due to several reasons: he spent a lot of time on its construction due to his relationships in Rome, and because he scored his first hole-in-one on Teugega’s 7th hole.
Currently, the 18-hole layout stretches on more than 6500 yards in length, with a course rating of 71.6 and a slope rating of 131. Since Ross’s original design was mostly untouched, players can expect many cross bunkers – something that has disappeared from many of his reconstructed designs.
But the club’s guests may indulge in various activities, should they be not interested solely in golfing: the territory has an access to the Lake Delta, where members may enjoy boating or kayaking, and the inner facilities include tennis courts, a big swimming pool and dining services of an exceptional level.
Membership at Teugega is private, but no invitation is needed, so you can inquire about membership categories via the club’s Business Office – they offer many opportunities to best suit your interests.
