Description
The Sunningdale is a private country club featuring a parkland-styled 18-hole golf course stretched on 6820 yards of territory (par 71, slope 135). Originally designed by Seth Raynor, it later incorporated changes by Walter Travis, A. W. Tillinghast and Mike DeVries, who masterfully exploited the area’s generous fairways and moving terrain. As a result, modern players can enjoy green complexes while strategizing the best way to approach the holes.
Moving to the more practical points that are useful to know – carts and clubs are available for rental since they are already included in the green fees. The golfing season at the club lasts from the first day of May to the last day of October, during which you can play at the main course itself or polish your game aspects at the practice facilities, such as the driving range and putting green – all whilst receiving tips from teaching professional.
In addition to golfing, club members can enjoy various activities: billiard is available at the clubhouse, and outdoor entertainment includes a swimming pool and 8 Har-Tru tennis courts. By the way, the club regularly hosts tennis competitions for men, women, and juniors throughout the season, so you will have ample opportunities to satisfy your competitive spirit.
