“Tradition that lives on today” – this is the official motto of the membership-owned Old Westbury Golf & Country Club. Famous for its spectacular panoramic landscapes, it features a 27-hole golf course tailored to provide the club’s members with an exclusive and challenging golfing experience, while allowing unwinding at the social gatherings and using additional amenities. The award-winning course can be explored on the club’s official website in advance, which is a nice touch for future members – you can access the scorecard and choose the preferred route (those are the Bluegrass, Overlook and Woods) and compile your 18-hole combination for a game. The total length of the course equals 5,500 to 7,200 yards in length depending on the chosen route.

Those who are yet uncertain of their ability to play in the open can access the training grounds first: all members can improve their skills on the 300-yard driving range, specifically designed for training and pre-game warm-ups. If you find yourself in a need of suitable equipment – or professional consultation regarding the gear – you can find it at the club’s Golf Pro Shop.

There are different types of memberships available: regular, Weekday B, tennis-centred and two “under 40” options (all of the membership types allow you to bring your spouse and children under the age of 23), so you’ll be able to find one best suitable for your needs.
