Description
The name of this club may sound endearing, but don’t be fooled – Fresh Meadow Country Club is one of the most exclusive establishments in the US, serving as a host to the prestigious US Open tournament, a PGA Championship and three Goodall Championships. The 18-hole course was designed by Charles Allison, a renowned architect on the European continent, and features extensive greens (sometimes too extensive, as commented by some professional players), smooth edges and extremely well-designed holes. The current layout measures almost 6,750 yards from the tip and requires good course management skills to enjoy the game to its fullest.
The club’s complex offers an opportunity to play racquet sports on 4 Har-Tru tennis courts, as well as train and learn on separate 2 Har-Tru teaching courts. Lessons are also offered for those who wish to “find their stroke”, and a team of Tennis professionals will help to adjust a training program by your level. Instructions are available for amateur golfers too, so don’t worry – the club’s team of professionals includes Danny Balin, Tyler Slocum, Ted Heins and others – all PGA players with years of experience in game and teaching.
Aside from golf, members can enjoy social events, dining facilities, as well fitness and a swimming pool. The club is private, so you have to contact the management team about membership opportunities in advance – contact info is provided on the official website.
