While the history of the club dates back to 1881, the current course at Meadow Brook was constructed and presented to the public in 1955. Redesigned and updated by Dick Wilson, it is now an 18-hole, 7405 yards in length “born classic” course with a rating of 76.3 and a slope of 143. Some of the recent renovations have been introduced by architects Brian Silva and Tripp Davis, but the course still features big – perhaps even enormous compared to other courses by Wilson – greens and tee boxes, which is an “eye-opening experience” for players of any level.

As for the additional services, carts and clubs are available for rental, and members can warm up on the practice grounds, including the pitching/chipping area and putting green. However, amateurs might find it insufficient to polish their skills, especially if you never had any experience in golfing before the Meadow Brook.

The club’s membership policy is a little bit unclear due to the insufficient instructions available on the site, but the establishment is certainly private. It is better to inquire in advance about the guest policies too since they are “stricter” than in other clubs – visitors must submit the form before their arrival.
