Description
The Laurel Links Country Club cannot boast a long history as it only opened for play in 2002 after Kelly Blake Moran completed his massive redesign and redevelopment project of rich farmland nestled between the Main Road and Peconic Bay in Laurel. Today it is an 18-hole, 6813 yards golf course, featuring strategic clusters of bunkers along with the property, as well as a pond and rich greens.
It is a great place for those who are interested in golf only, but people looking for a family-oriented establishment may not enjoy it as much, since the club’s statement highlights the Laurel Links’ “primary focus on golf”. Members are given full access to golf, tennis court, swimming pool and dining facilities, but socializing events are not scheduled by the club itself.
However, according to the reviews (most of them are exceptionally positive), the course itself is “a pure gem”, as it is well-maintained and challenging enough for golfers to enjoy their time and test skills simultaneously. The attentive staff is praised repeatedly, as well as the club’s pro shop, which makes one’s stay more enjoyable.
Membership is by invitation only, and currently, there are four types of memberships available: Regular Golf (Single or Family), Junior Golf (for members aged 36 or below), House (golf is excluded) and Weekday (golf restrictions on weekends).
