Description
“You belong here” – that’s the official motto the Knollwood Country Club chose for itself while stepping into the new era as one of the oldest 19-hole private golf clubs which has never changed its location since the date of its establishment in 1894.
As for the golf course, its yardage was expanded over the years and currently plays 6,532 yards. One of the most recent restorations took place in 2016, when bunkers and tree work have been introduced, as well as some redesigns of the 12th green and 13th tee complex. While professionals may enjoy their game straight away, there are lessons offered by the PGA professional Nate Oberhofer for those who want to improve their skills. Video instructions and even the rules of golf are also introduced, so amateurs will enjoy their time in the club’s numerous practice facilities.
There are different types of memberships to be obtained: Full Privilege Golf (includes access to golf and other facilities), Young Executive Full Golf (only for potential members under 40 years old), Weekday Golf (pretty much the same as Privilege Golf, but access is given only from Monday to Friday) and Social (unlimited access to tennis, bocce, aquatics, social and dining, but not golf). And while the club is private, an invitation is not needed to become a member – just reach out to the membership director of the club using the contact information provided on the website.
