Huntington Country Club

Huntington is a private, member-owned club located near the historic village on the northern shore of the Long Island – so an impressive view in addition to an excellent golf course is guaranteed. Recently, the club celebrated its anniversary by presenting an updated clubhouse for its members and an improved golf course.

The 18-hole links-style golf course (par 70, slope 134) is one of the club’s most important historical attractions, as it was designed by the legendary architect Devereux Emmet. The 6,667 yards of ground is very well exploited, and challenges include holes protected by a range of bunkers – an Emmet’s “signature move” that seasoned players will immediately recognize. However, later improvements and additions have been introduced by famous designers such as Robert Trent Jones, Ian Andrew and Alfred H. Tull, so the course has not lost its relevance for over a hundred years.

Golfing season is open on March 15 and closes near the end of the year on December 23, so members have a lot of time to test the course during different seasons. Clubs and carts are available for rental, and this club is a great place for practice too, as it features a Golf School Academy on its territory, where you can request a training program from a teaching pro.
